Conférence du Professeur Dean Roddick (Wisconsin)
Titre : Catalytic Applications of Perfluorinated Acceptor Phosphine Complexes.
Endroit : Pavillon Roger-Gaudry, salle G-715 à 11 h
Hôte : Professeur Davit Zargarian
La conférence sera prononcée (en anglais) par le professeur Dean Roddick, du Département de chimie de la University of Wisconsin.
Résumé : For a number of years the Roddick group has been exploring applications of perfluorinated alkylphosphines (“PFAP’s”) to challenging problems in organometallic chemistry and homogeneous catalysis. In this seminar we present the design of group 10 olefin oligomerization catalysts of the general form (R3P)2M(alkyl)(alkene)+, and also new PFAP “pincer-type” metal complexes of iridium and ruthenium which display good activities toward catalytic alkane dehydrogenation. A discussion of the electronic and steric influence of PFAP pincer ligands and their effect on coordination properties and reactivity will be presented.
